Individual Movers Program Auditions 2026
Auditions for our Individual Movers Program are set for August 1st and 2nd, 2026. There will be a $100 application fee for new dancer and a $50 application fee for recurring IMP Students.
We hold open auditions for intermediate and advanced level dancers. REMINDER: WE DO NOT TAKE BEGINNER / NOVICE STUDENTS INTO OUR IMP PROGRAM. Saturday and Sunday dates are separated by age 12 and under 9:00am-1:00pm and 13 and over 2:00pm-6:00pm. Age is as of August 1st. Auditions are available to anyone that would like to train and compete through The Movement MN. Dancers will be evaluated and placed into intermediate or advanced Individual Movers Programs based on our syllabus below. Our staff will determine whether or not your dancer is fit for one of our limited and selective spots, and the skill level that your dancer will compete in once the season officially begins. This season we have up to 60 spots only. Below is our audition packet, you will have the opportunity to inform us of what dances your dancer would like to take part in once you turn it in before August 1st. We focus mainly on each individual dancer, but to have a few select duets, trios, and small groups. For small groups TMMN holds the right to add whoever we want and remove whoever we want at any time. NO LARGE GROUPS, LINES, OR PRODUCTIONS. At auditions the staff will make all final decisions by August 3rd .
If your dancer is to be selected, the audition packet you turned in DOES NOT guarantee that you will get offered your desired choreographer, dances, or groups. The packet is a just a suggestion and TMMN will offer you what their professional opinion is what they believe is the best fit. We do allow outside choreographers if they are verified from the staff first. You must accept your spot via email by August 3rd at 11:59 pm, there will be a mandatory Parent Meeting on August 4th at 7pm. At this meeting we will go over the TMMN Handbook page by page. You will also sign the handbook and hand it in this night. If you do not attend this parent meeting you and your dancer will be required to book a private lesson time do go over this with Shayna and Talon. NO DANCERS CHOREOGRAPHY will be started until this packet is signed and turned in. IMP Tuition will need to be paid via link on September 1st as that is the first official day of IMP Season 2026-2027!
Your tuition will include your recurring lesson(s) as we book these on our end and classes (the amount of classes will depend on where your dancer was placed) you book on your end to create your own schedule. You will get to choose the days and times you want to be in the studio week to week. We do require intermediates have at least 2 ballet / technique classes weekly, and recommend advanced dancers have 4 ballet / technique classes a week. This program gives an individual dancer(s) a chance to compete with a studio name, the support and guidance of their choreographers and our other staff with control over their own schedule and dances they are a part of. TMMN Staff is never required to attend competition or convention events as this is an individual program you get to pick your own journey.
