Individual Movers Program
This program is designed for dancers who want to focus their attention to training in dance on an individual level. This format gives dancers a better opportunity to focus and achieve their current and or future goals in dance. Our mission is to train individuals for their dance careers and in doing so we recognize the importance of healthy competition and learning from as many dance professionals as possible. We offer our IMP dancers the opportunity to compete as soloists or in duets and trios at numerous competitions throughout the competitive season. We do offer a limited amount of small groups that will compete. Our IMP dancers are highly encouraged to attend a number of conventions that tour in the Twin Cities to expand their dance education and enhance their memory retention. The Movement MN is set a part from any other studio in the state as we offer our dancers the opportunity to create their own schedule on a weekly basis (with a number of required technique hours - 2 technique classes for intermediate and 4 technique classes for advanced a week). Dancers are able to switch their schedule as they need, in order to pursue other activities. Though our schedule does not change during the season, the class curriculum changes week to week to constantly push our dancers. Our IMP students also have opportunities to work one on one with well known dance artists for classes, private lessons and competitive choreography. The Movement MN emphasizes giving back to the community and invites our dancers to partake in our different volunteer and fundraising events throughout the year. We are deeply humbled to offer these unique opportunities to our dancers and pride ourselves in educating well rounded artists. 25’-26’ Season auditions will take place at the studio on August 1st-3rd, 2025.
TUITION UPDATES:
Before auditions, we will have received your packet that is filled out with your dancers interest (best time to let the studio know your thoughts of styles, choreographers and all of the dances you would like to commit to). During auditions, we will evaluate your dancer, level them and decide what dances would best benefit your dancer. After auditions, every dancer will receive a studio acceptance / denial email that will express which level / dances your child is selected for or what your dancer could work on to make IMP the next season.
*REMINDER: THE $50 MONTHLY FEE GOES TOWARDS THE 30 MIN. RECURRING LESSON (PER SOLO, PER DUET, PER TRIO) THAT GUARANTEES OUR DANCERS HAVE A CLEANING SESSION EACH WEEK. WHEN YOU BREAK DOWN THE MATH, YOUR SAVING HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS ON THOSE LESSON TIMES ALONE.
Mini Movers: (Ages 6-8 as of January 1st, 2026). $250 Base tuition with 24 hours per month. If your dancer would like to partake in additional dances beyond a small group, than your monthly tuition will increase by $50 per solo, $50 per duet & $50 per trio a month to pay for your recurring lesson time of whichever additional dances your child has been selected for. There is no monthly charge for small groups as your dancer will need to be invited to these select groups. Choreography and costume fees apply separately for each solo, duet, trio, and small group.
Intermediate Plan: $390 Base tuition with up to 30 hours of week of classes. Only requirement is attending 2 technique classes a week. If your dancer would like to partake in additional dances beyond a small group, than your monthly tuition will increase by $50 per solo, $50 per duet & $50 per trio a month to pay for your recurring lesson time of whichever additional dances your child has been selected for. Unlimited groups free of a monthly charge but dancers will need to be invited and committed to these select groups. Choreography and costume fees apply separately for each solo, duet, trio and small group.
Advanced Plan: $500 Base tuition with unlimited classes. If your dancer would like to partake in additional dances beyond a small group, than your monthly tuition will increase by $50 per solo, $50 per duet & $50 per trio a month to pay for your recurring lesson time of whichever additional dances your child has been selected for. Unlimited groups free of a monthly charge but dancers will need to be invited and committed to these select groups. Choreography and costume fees apply separately for each solo, duet, trio & small group.
Winter High School Dance Team Members: $175 per month for every Sunday; training from 12-2pm. Once season is over, dancers can bump up plans to $390 & compete solos / duets / trios in March. This would allow your dancer to train for 30 hours per month. If your dancer is not interested in competing they are still able to stay at the every Sunday training per month.

This is a great opportunity to see where your dancer needs growth, be informed what training your dancer needs to reach their goals, and come with questions.
